I was born here in Halifax, NS; however, I was fortunate enough to call many provinces throughout Canada home including the province of Quebec. I earned both my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees at Acadia University in Wolfville, NS, and attended the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières and the University of Quebec at Montreal for my French certification.

I am in my twelfth year in the education profession and the start of my eighth year at St. Agnes Junior High School. My years at SAJH have not been consecutive though, as I spent two years at Fairview Junior High School from 2008-10. I also spent two years with the Annapolis Valley School Board prior to joining the Halifax Regional School Board. I have taught all grades, 6-12, and all manner of subjects; however, English, French and Social Studies are my main teachable subjects.

I enjoy running and coach the cross-country program at the school and support the running component of track and field in the spring along with the Kids Run Club in preparation for the Bluenose Marathon and Track & Field. I also thoroughly enjoy reading and this year I am continuing with the Battle of the Books program
